Let me ask you, are you satisfied with your life?
Are there any areas you are not satisfied with such as work, home life, health, fitness? How do you feel when you think about these areas of dissatisfaction?
When was the last time that you were faced with a big, negative issue in your life? Now I would like you to think about the lowest point during that time. What were you thinking about? What happened when you started thinking about the problem? Did the situation seem better or worse as you slowly sank into the negativity?
‘Stay positive’! How often has that advice been offered to you when things have not gone according to plan, or you’re feeling down?
‘Everything happens in three’s’! Now that’s a good one. I was always relieved when the third negative incident was over; I could relax!
‘Why me?’ A question I would ask myself a lot!
Many of us just seem to go through life stumbling over one obstacle after another, feeling under the weather; nothing ever seems to go right. Why? Because we attract it like a magnet; we unwittingly invite it into our lives! The reason is simple – we attract that on which we most focus – ‘like attracts like’.
Whatever you think about produces a feeling/emotion in your body. If the emotion is a negative one, it has the potential to cause you emotional and physical harm. We all, at some time experience unpleasant emotions along with unpleasant bodily symptoms; when we become emotionally distressed, we also become physically distressed.
You know about the Law of Gravity, right? It is invisible, but you know it is there. Without the Law of Gravity, we would all be floating around somewhere through space!
It is only one of the existing ‘invisible laws’. Another invisible and important law to be aware of is ‘The Law Of Attraction’. I have studied and tested this particular law for a few years. I found it so fascinating and intrinsic to our lives on this planet that I qualified as an Advanced Law of Attraction Practitioner, making me an authority in sharing with you how its connection and influence on us can affect our lives on every level.
Whatever you think about will attract …
Whatever you think about will attract an outcome depending on the emotion behind the thought. For example, you could think about a pending dental appointment with trepidation. You will probably not have a good experience.
However, if you think of the same dental appointment with a kind of a ‘bring it on’ positive attitude, and see yourself in the Dentist’s Chair, calm and relaxed, or even better, see yourself getting up from the chair feeling happy with the treatment over, the emotion behind the thought will be light hearted; you will have a more pleasant experience.
If you are in the show jumping ring and you think “I’m so nervous, I think I’m going to be sick”, not only will you have a weak round, the next time you go in the ring, your mind will remember the thought and emotion you felt; you will probably feel sick again. If you attempt to do the round anyway and you don’t do well, you will be filled with negativity. Not only will it rub off onto your horse, the next time you even think of going in the ring, your mind may physically make you sick, even ill, to prevent you from ever feeling that way again!
Your mind is very powerful; it is your protector …
Sound a bit far fetched? Believe me, its not! Your mind is very powerful; it is your protector. Its job is to keep you safe and prevent you from having to go through the same scenario ever again!
You will always get a result from the emotions behind your thoughts; so why not focus on good thoughts – thoughts that make you happy rather than those that make you unhappy and negative? See the event as if it has already happened. Make it a big event in your mind with crowds clapping and cheering as you take your lap of honour.
My adult life could have been so much more amazing if I had recognised my deep negativity and how it was affecting the whole of my life. Even worse, I was affecting the people in my life; the animals in my life also took on the brunt of all the negativity going on in my mind and body.
I had reached the age of 55 before I found out why my life was as it was, and why I suffered the various ailments that had been plaguing me for years. Don’t get me wrong, I consider myself to have been fortunate through my life within the confines of my negative, limited thinking and beliefs, passed down by teachers, doctors, peers, employers, and the various stigma’s of having grown up in a one parent family, standing in the ‘free school dinner line, and, amidst all the other negative effects on my life, parental discipline in knowing not to ask for an ice cream when the ice cream van pulled up outside our house because we were poor!
I do consider myself lucky to have had a mother who, in spite of her own misfortunes through her life, was determined and formidable. Her strengths rubbed off on me. I found my own strength to get away from the disgrace of coming from a broken home, free dinners, being bullied,feeling worthless. I found I could achieve anything I put my mind to. If only I had known that I was worth far more than my mind was letting me believe.
Since knowingly coming face to face with the Law of Attraction in 2011 and witnessing its power first hand, my life, and mindset have changed beyond recognition.
