From woo woo to acceptance
In 2012 when I began my life as an energy worker, the term ‘Reiki’ was still considered pretty much woo woo to many people. Here we are, only 4 years later with its acceptance firmly in place in NHS hospitals and recommended by vets and GP’s, simply because a researcher of science finally publicised it. Of course, until science can prove it, it can’t be true – can it?
Unfortunately, 3000 years worth of daily practice by Buddhists and the many years of growing numbers of energy healers in our western culture had, to this point continued to be ignored and feared, or ridiculed because there was no objective way of measuring energy.
Findings ahead of their time
Studies as far back as the 1920’s suggested that diseases could be detected in the energy field of the body before physical symptoms appeared. Moreover, the distinguished researcher Harold Saxon Burr was convinced that diseases could be prevented by altering the energy field. Sadly the findings were ahead of their time.
Scientists are now convinced that the tissues and organs of all living things produce specific vibrations known as biomagnetic fields or ‘auras’; there is an understanding of the role of energy fields in health and dis-ease.
Born to be, meant to be
Animals can quite clearly detect the energy signal we humans emit. Most people however, remain unaware of its existence and persist with an attitude of non-belief. If you are such a non-believer, I invite you to read the following with an open mind, because the person you think you are is most likely not the person you were born as, or the person you were meant to be.
The energy within
You are a powerful energetic being, connected to all life by a consciousness known as Universal Life Energy. You share your energy limitlessly across our planet and the universe. The energy does not only build a field around you, the energy flows continuously through you.
Everything you do, say, and think has an impact on your own energy, the energy of the people around you, and the energy of the horses and pets in your care – positive and negative. If you have a negative mind the animals in your care will suffer the consequences emotionally and physically – yes you are that powerful.
It takes self-development to understand
Understanding and accepting this concept is extremely important in your self-development in order to become the powerful being you were born to be, and in building the relationship you were meant to have with the animals in your care. Only from your self-development can you ever have enough knowledge and understanding of yourself; as important is the nurturing of the animals in your care with an absolute understanding of who they are.
* The catch
You must have both the desire and willingness to begin a learning process that will change your views and beliefs about traditions generally, and importantly many traditions and beliefs within equine and animal training and teaching systems that are also scientifically proven to no longer serve us or our animals in a positive way, yet continue.
Exercise – See your own energy field (aura)
Try this simple exercise in seeing your energy field (aura). You may not see anything, to begin with. With practice it will become visible:
- Face a white background – an A4 sheet of paper will do.
- Extend your left or right arm out in front of you with your fingers slightly splayed.
- Let your eyes relax and gently look through your fingers to the white background.
- Your vision will gently become unfocused. As it does, you will see a soft glow around your fingers. You might even see a vibration just like when you see the vibrations of heat rising from a hot road.
Try the exercise on various objects and watch for that gentle glow that confirms the aura surrounding it.
Welcome to the wonderful world of Energy – the place to be for awesome people.
